This website is not primarily a commercial site and the integrity of the content comes first. This means that I never promote anything that is out of keeping with the theme of this site or that I do not personally endorse in some way.
I do however, earn a small amount of income and goods-in-kind through advertising and other sales and promotional activities on this website that I wish to be open about.
Examples of goods-in-kind are when I enter into a marketing partnership with an event organizer, where having posted details of their event on my website, I receive from them a link to my site and maybe inclusion of materials in their delegate packs or a free place at their event for myself or for a member of my community.
The following activities take place. The list may not be exhaustive.
Google Ads appear in the left hand column of most pages. I am unable to directly control what appears in this panel. Google matches ads to the contents of my page. I receive a small payment each time you click through on an Ad.
Amazon Book Ads appear in the left hand column of most pages. I do have a little control here and provide Amazon with keywords that match my page. I receive a small percentage of any item that you purchase from Amazon.
Banner Ads appear at the top of most pages. These may appear because I personally endorse the product, service or event or I may have an affiliate relationship with the adverizer and receive payment for a click through or an order.
Amazon Links appear on most book pages. I receive a small percentage of any item that you purchase when you click through to the Amazon site.
Butterworth-Heinemann Links appear on some book pages. I receive a small percentage of any item that you purchase when you click through to the Butterworth-Heinemann site.
Event Pages and Links For some events I receive a small fee for each registration which originates from my website. This may be tracked automatically by a code
embedded in the link or manually when you quote a booking code in registering for the event.
