Richard is a behavioural scientist by background with a MSc in Management and Organisation Development specialising in culture change. Richard started his career with Xerox as Management Development Executive where he was responsible for Management Assessment Centres and first level Management training in the UK Company. He then moved to an operational Personnel role for the sales division. Following this Richard was appointed Human Resources Manager for Africa, India and Eastern Europe. In this role Richard worked on the HR implications of for the newly established Joint Venture Modi Xerox . He was later responsible for the HR strategy to support Xerox’s expansion strategy in Eastern Europe.
In 1991 Richard joined the Quality Office at International Headquarters as part of the team that successfully won the European Quality award in 1992. He then assumed responsibility for Business Excellence, the self-assessment and peer review process that became the basis of what is now the Xerox Management Model. Since then he has been supporting change and knowledge management issues associated with external and internal ' knowledge sharing' projects.
