A Randomised Coffee Trial or RCT for short is a rather fancy name for an incredibly simple idea.
RCTs are used to randomly connect people in an organization or network to enable them to meet to have a coffee and talk about whatever they wish.

The creator of this idea, Michael Soto, has since formed a company called Spark Collaboration to provide a service to take the admin hassle out of the process.
He has given me free access to experiment with it and so to start with I am making the service available to members of my community in the London region.
I am calling it the Gurteen London Coffee Club.
You can meet with people face to face for coffee, lunch or an evening drink or virtually over Skype - what ever you feel most comfortable with or suits the pair of you.

You will then receive an email on about the 16th of each month containing the contact information of a randomly selected member of the program.
Sometime during that month, you and the other member should contact each other to arrange to meet-up.
It could not be simpler.
