Founded in 1993, Organization Studies Research Network comes together around a common concern for, and a shared interest to explore, new possibilities in knowledge, culture and change management, within the broader context of the nature and future of organizations and their impact on modern society.

2020 Special Focus: Beautifully Organized

This conference theme invites presenters to consider the open frontiers and hard boundaries of pursuing beautiful processes and outcomes in organization studies. How might we legitimately engage the concept of ‘beauty' in our efforts to advance theory, research, and practice related to organizations and organizing? When might beauty be justifiably elevated above logic in our work? When might beauty advance the logic of our work? When might the quest for beauty in our work be misguided?

Video: BLU Lesson 4: What I learnt as International Czar by David Gurteen

One of six BLU lessons on what I learnt about knowledge management and getting things done in my days as International Czar for Lotus Development by David Gurteen. In April 2005, BLU, the UK's Business Link University which no longer exists hired Fifty Lessons  to produce a series of video stories for them to which I (David Gurteen) was invited to contribute. This is one of those stories.
