On behalf of the Porto Accounting and Business School / Polytechnic of Porto and the ECMLG 2019 organizing committee, I am honoured and delighted to welcome you to the 15th European Conference on Management Leadership and Governance (ECMLG 2019).
A quick look at the news every day reveals that the technologies and information systems are taking over an impressive number of tasks and being employed in almost all activities performed inside and outside organizations. This has a set of consequences in the way we work, communicate, interact and live. Among the implications we can find those related with management, leadership and governance, and the way we prepare students in these areas, for this new reality. Being aware of the urgency to discuss these issues, we would like to invite scholars, practitioners, researchers and students to share their ideas, thoughts and experiences in these areas.
Additionally, I would like to say that Porto, the city where Porto Accounting and Business School / Polytechnic of Porto is located, is a lively and attractive city, being awarded the prize of the Best Touristic Destinations more than once. The history, the culture and the scenery of the city will provide a pleasant venue that guarantees the success of the conference.
