Equipping today's Knowledge Manager for tomorrowmastering the skills of knowledge management |

With some Knowledge and Information Management Professionals now earning in excess of US$100k p.a., the role is increasingly seen as being an essential multi-faceted function. Yet, as the spectre of artificial intelligence and machine learning looms large and with the imminent release of a set of KM Standards by the International Standards Organisation (ISO) today's Knowledge Manager is facing a complex future. Effective Knowledge Managers will need a mix of soft and technical skills as well as a good working knowledge of their business. This Masterclass will demonstrate frameworks, tools and techniques to equip today's Knowledge Manager for tomorrow. The Masterclass leader Paul J Corney will focus on the critical 8 ‘ates (skills) contained in his co-authored book “Navigating the Minefield: A Practical KM Companion” published in 2017 by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) and featured in an address given to the annual conference of the Chartered Institute of Library & Information Professionals UK (CILIP) in 2016. He will also refer to experiences from assignments over 20+ years in KM as well as his participation on the BSI KM Standards Committee and as an advisor to global businesses.
