Collaborative Advantage by Elizabeth LankHow Organizations Win by Working Togther (2005) |
|
Collaboration across organizational boundaries is often critical but difficult to achieve. This book explores the structures, processes, roles, skills, tools and techniques that enable people in different places to achieve a successful joint outcome and build advantage through collaboration. Written by an experienced practitioner who has facilitated many collaborative efforts, it includes practical case studies to illustrate key points. David Gurteen's comments: I know Elizabeth well and hugely respect her work in this field and so am not surprised to find this a really great book. It is not about theory or concepts but a practical, pragmatic handbook of how to collaborate across organizational boundaries. Most chapters end with a checklist of things to do or consider and the book also has many short stories to emphasize her points. I'd highly recommend it.
