Awaken the Giant Within Whenever we explain a concept by likening it to something else we are using a metaphor. One of the main ways in which we learn is through the use of metaphors. Learning is about making new associations in our minds and metaphors are good at this.

Anthony Robbins has a great chapter in his book Awaken the Giant Within on the "Power of Metaphors".
