Richard Dawkins is a British Zoologist. He studied at Oxford and later taught at the University of California, Berkeley. He returned to Oxford to lecture in zoology in 1970. His work on animal behaviour and genes emphasizes that apparently selfish behaviour is designed to ensure survival of the gene above that of the carrier The Selfish Gene. This and wider views on behaviour and evolution have been developed in The Blind Watchmaker.

There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies? Richard Dawkins, (b. 1941) British Zoologist I am against religion because it teaches us to be satisfied with not understanding the world. Richard Dawkins, (b. 1941) British Zoologist Like computer viruses, successful mind viruses will tend to be hard for their victims to detect. If you are the victim of one, the chances are that you won't know it, and may even vigorously deny it. Richard Dawkins, (b. 1941) British Zoologist
